Welcome to mywifepaintsbattleships - a high quality, reasonably priced, painting service specializing in naval miniatures in all scales. Take the PAIN out of painting and leave all your comrades drooling over your gorgeously painted fleet!
At this time, a large number of orders in the queue are keeping me chained to the painting table, and I'm doing my best to accomodate everyone. Hence, you have the option to forego my waiting list and have my buddy Jim Wellenreiter paint your miniatures. For more information on this option, please click here.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
FREE SHIPPING - on all orders over $200. This is not a sale - this is permanent. Yes, this includes international shipping. Orders under $200 will continue to be charged exact shipping costs only.
NO PAYPAL FEES - this one's for everyone. Again, not a sale, and permanent.
PRE-PAINTED NAVAL MINIATURES - coming soon. I am still working out the details, but here is what I have planned so far:
* The pre-painted miniatures will be 1:2400 Panzerschiffe models. They will be painted by me.
* The models will be painted and based, with a label. The label will be included in the cost, but you get to specify what name to put on the label, so it won't be applied until you order.
* Initial inventory will include US, British, German, and Japanese ships from WW2.
PRICING - First, a restructuring of how I do pricing. This accomplishes several things: A) it makes it easier for me to provide quotes, and for you to figure out pricing on your own. B) it more accurately represents the extra time it takes to paint highly detailed models. C) it makes pricing more consistent across the various scales.
If I have sent you a written quote with prices on it - we use that. If I have not, then it was because I didn't have a detailed list of what models you plan to send/have sent and it will use the new pricing.
Next, assembly costs. I've pretty much got assembly costs by scale nailed down, so assembly costs for multiple-piece models are now fixed - see the price list by scale. For anything else, such as modifications/repair, we still use the hourly rate.
If you have questions, suggestions, recommendations, requests, experience with other pre-painted miniature services, rants, cheers, jeers, or other input about these announcements, you can contact me through the normal channels.
Naval Thunder: Bitter Rivals now available!
Harry Pratt at Steel Dreadnought Games (that's my husband) has just released the first expansion for his WW2 naval rules Naval Thunder Battleship Row. The expansion is called Bitter Rivals, and includes fleets lists and all kinds of great scenarios. You should be in awe of my type-editing (the whole book) and mad Photoshop skills (on the scenario maps). :)

Transparent Bases from Old Dominion
Transparent bases with etched wakes are now available from Old Dominion Game Works. I don't have any in stock, but I can order them. In case folks are interested.
The challenge becomes where to put the label, as they didn't leave much room. But they're pretty!

Pics from Navy Night
Mitch was cool enough to send pictures of a recent battle with his freshly-painted ships. The pics are from Navy Night at his local game store. See Mitch's ships in battle here.

"Outstanding work that leaves fellow gamers visibly jealous. I was impressed as I unwrapped each ship! Also, not just an artist, but a gamer who understands the history and how each figure should be painted.
Contact you the next time I make a purchase."
